Sonograms
Sonohysterogram
A sonohysterogram is an ultrasound of the uterus to look for polyps, fibroids or scar tissue. It is usually done for abnormal bleeding or when an abnormality is suggested on a pelvic ultrasound.
A small amount of saline is placed through the cervix to open the uterine cavity slightly for visualization. Minimal cramping is experienced during this procedure.
